Quantum_Iber_IA International Conference 2026

Quantum_Iber_IA International Conference 2026

About the Quantum_Iber_IA project

Quantum_Iber_IA ("Strategic boost to capabilities in quantum technologies and artificial intelligence in the cross-border Iberian area") is a cross-border cooperation project co-financed by the Interreg VI-A Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) 2021-2027 programme.

Its objective is to position the Iberian Peninsula as a benchmark in the creation and application of quantum technologies (computing, communications and simulation) and artificial intelligence, promoting the shared use of infrastructures — supercomputers, quantum networks, AI platforms — and their application in strategic sectors such as agri-food, health, cybersecurity, energy and the environment.

Led by the Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN), the project brings together 17 entities from Spain and Portugal: Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN, coordinator), CESGA, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Universidade da Coruña, Universidade de Vigo, FEUGA, Universidade do Minho, Laboratório Ibérico Internacional de Nanotecnologia (INL), INESC TEC, Universidad de Extremadura, COMPUTAEX, Universidade de Évora, Universidade de Aveiro, SCAYLE, CCDR Norte, International Quantum Center (FSAS Technologies / Fujitsu) and Agencia Digital de Andalucía.

Within this framework, the Quantum_Iber_IA International Conference 2026 is being convened, a scientific-technical event open to the Iberian and international academic, technological and business community, to share advances, results and use cases in quantum technologies and artificial intelligence.
